Great Slave Lake Ice Fishing Trip
Pickup at your hotel in Yellowknife is scheduled for 11 am. You'll head to the shores of Great Slave Lake to try ice fishing. A short presentation on equipment usage will precede the fishing experience. Relax in tents as you await catches; patience is essential in ice fishing.
You will learn about various fish species in Great Slave Lake, including salmon, rainbow trout, and pike. At the end of the activity, enjoy a light lunch with some of the fish caught, accompanied by hot drinks.
Return to your hotel in Yellowknife is expected around 3 pm.
Fishing Licence
Before the activity, you must purchase a fishing license for the Northwest Territories, which can be obtained online. The permit fee ranges from 10 CAD to 30 CAD, depending on nationality and season. Alternatively, you can buy the license on the day of the tour; payment is by credit card only.
