Snowshoeing Trip on Great Slave Lake

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Yellowknife and drive to a safe area on the shores of Great Slave Lake, the deepest lake in North America.

After a brief presentation on how to handle the equipment, we will put on our snowshoes and set off on our trek. Walking on ice is difficult to explain in words; you will have to try it and see for yourself!

We will walk along the shores of the lake, using poles and snowshoes to access terrains usually inaccessible. While enjoying the icy landscapes of the Great Slave Lake, we will also observe local wildlife, including foxes and snow partridges.

If time allows, we will also walk along the frozen surface of Great Slave Lake and explore a fantastic ice cave. We conclude our adventure with some delicious hot drinks to warm us up.

Then we will take you back to Yellowknife, dropping you at your hotel two hours after picking you up.
