Description
Meet us at the scheduled time at Borea Adventures Gear Storage in Isafjordur. We will depart on a fully-fitted boat named Síf to explore the Isafjordur fjord.
As we navigate the tranquil waters, we will look for whale blows in the distance. Our expert captain will take us close to the whales without disturbing them. We may encounter humpback whales and minke whales, and with some luck, we could spot killer whales (orcas). Additionally, we might see dolphins, porpoises, and the iconic puffin birds that nest on Aedey and Vigur islands. The crew will provide informative insights about the local flora and fauna.
These outings also serve research purposes, encouraging guests to take photos of whale flukes for identification. You'll gain insights into whale research during this tour.
After 1.5 to 3.5 hours aboard the Síf, we will conclude our experience on the Isafjordur fjord.
