Pickup will be at 8:30 am from your hotel, followed by a visit to the Sultan's Palace, which is home to almost 30,000 inhabitants. A stroll through the streets will include seeing the iconic Water Castle.

Afterward, we will depart Yogyakarta for Kotagede. A half-hour drive will lead us to the ancient village. Here, we'll explore the picturesque streets via the traditional becak.

The becak will take us around the market, and we will also visit a batik and silver factory. The tour includes entering the magnificent Royal Cemetery and the ancient Mosque, important heritage sites of the Kingdom of Mataram Islam. You will learn about Kotagede's past as its capital.

We will visit the home of a Javanese family, where you will enjoy a traditional lunch of home-made dishes. The tour concludes with a return to Yogyakarta and drop-off at your accommodation by 4 pm.
