Merapi Volcano (6 hours)

We will depart Yogyakarta to the Merapi volcano, the most active volcano in Indonesia, which has erupted 69 times since 1548. We will explore the landscapes of the volcanic cone and visit a village at the foot of the mountain to understand life near an active volcano.

Merapi Volcano + Ulen Sentanu Museum (8 hours)

This option follows the same itinerary as the previous one. After lunch, we will visit the Ulen Sentanu Museum, where we will learn about the origins of the kingdom of Mataram.

Merapi Volcano + Sunrise at Borobudur (12 hours)

We will pick you up before sunrise to head to Punthuk Setumbu, where we will hike for 20 minutes to a viewpoint to see the Merapi volcano and Borobudur temple. After enjoying the sunrise, we will visit the shrine, tour the Merapi landscapes, and stop at the Prambanan temple. Afterward, you will have free time for lunch before returning to Yogyakarta.
