Merapi Volcano (6 hours)

We will depart Yogyakarta to visit Merapi volcano, which has experienced 69 eruptions since 1548. As we approach, we will observe the landscapes of this volcanic cone and visit a village at the foot of the mountain to learn about life near an active volcano.

Merapi Volcano + Ulen Sentanu Museum (8 hours)

This itinerary is similar to the previous option. After the volcano visit, you will have free time for lunch, and then we will explore the Ulen Sentanu Museum to learn about the Mataram kingdom.

Merapi Volcano + Sunrise at Borobudur (12 hours)

We will pick you up in Yogyakarta before sunrise to travel to Punthuk Setumbu. A 20-minute hike will take us to a viewpoint to see Merapi volcano and Borobudur temple at sunrise. Following this, we will visit the shrine and then tour Merapi's landscapes, stopping at Prambanan temple's interior. Afterward, free time for lunch will be provided before returning to Yogyakarta.
