Take this fantastic trip to Semarang from Yogyakarta and discover the amazing temples and buildings of this city on the island of Java. During this adventure, you will also visit the famous rainbow village.

Semarang Trip

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Yogyakarta at 7 am and board a private vehicle that will take us directly to Semarang. After a three and a half hour drive, we will arrive at this city on the north coast of Java.

We will then start a guided tour of Semarang to admire essential places, such as the Bledung church, where we will learn about the first Catholic church in the city.

The next stop will be Lawang Sewu, the so-called thousand-door building. We will discuss the history of this huge house built by the Dutch in the early 1900s. After the tour, you will have one hour of free time to have lunch at a local restaurant (not included).

The tour continues with the Chinese Sam Po Kong temple, a colorful temple welcoming visitors of any religion.

Finally, we will visit Kampung Pelangi, also known as the rainbow village, where the community has painted its houses in bright colors.

The tour concludes after a little more than six hours at the place you indicated when making the booking.

When you make your reservation, you can choose to end the tour at the Semarang Airport, at a Semarang hotel of your choice, or return to Yogyakarta.
