North York Moors Park & Whitby Day Trip

Meet opposite the Dean Court Hotel at the specified time in York to begin the day trip with a scenic drive through the Vale of York.

The first stop will be Kilburn White Horse Hill, where information about the hillside figure carved in the mid-19th century will be provided. Next, visit Helmsley to see the medieval castle and explore the village.

The tour proceeds into the North York Moors National Park, passing through Hutton-le-Hole, Blakey Ridge, and Ralph's Cross. The next destination will be Lealholm.

Afterwards, the tour will continue to Whitby, with discussions on the town's history. Once in Whitby, there will be stops at the Captain Cook statue and Whalebone arch. Guests can choose to be dropped off at either the harbour or the abbey. There will be 3 hours of free time to explore attractions such as the Endeavour Experience, the Captain Cook Museum, and the Bark Endeavour. A visit to the Magpie Café for fish and chips is recommended.

The next stop will be Goathland, where the fictional locations of 'Hogsmead' from Harry Potter and 'Aidensfield' from the TV show Heartbeat will be discussed.

The tour concludes at the Hole of Horcum before returning to York, with an overall duration of 8 hours.
