York Pass

The York Pass provides free access to over 40 attractions in York, including ancient castles, an aquarium, and York Minster.

Additionally, access to York Mansion House, Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience, or Fairfax House is included, along with discounts at selected shops and restaurants. Pre-booking is required for some attractions.

How does it work?

The York Pass is valid from the first use at an attraction and can be activated for 1, 2, or 3 days, ending at 11:59 pm of the first day. Passes must be used consecutively and allow one-time access to each attraction.

Collecting your York Pass

Collect your York Pass from the Visit York Information Centre at 1 Museum Street, York. The center is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm, and from 10 am to 4 pm on Sundays. The pass is valid from the first use, not from the collection date.

Children under 5 years old

Children's York Passes apply to children between 5 and 16 years old. Most attractions offer free entry for children under 5; check individual attraction websites for details.
