York Pass

The York Pass provides free access to over 40 attractions in York, including ancient castle ruins, the aquarium, and York Minster.

Additionally, the pass offers free access to York Mansion House, Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience, or Fairfax House, along with discounts at selected shops and restaurants. Pre-booking is required for some attractions.

How does it work?

Your York Pass is valid from the first use at an attraction for 1, 2, or 3 days. The first day concludes at 11:59 pm regardless of the start time. The passes must be used consecutively and allow one-time free access to each attraction.

Collecting your York Pass

Collect your York Pass from the Visit York Information Centre, 1 Museum Street, York, open daily from 9 am to 5 pm, and 10 am to 4 pm on Sundays. You must choose a date for purchase, but collection can occur any day. The pass is valid from first use, not collection date.

Children under 5 years old

Children's York Passes apply to those aged 5 to 16, while most attractions offer free entry to children under 5. It’s recommended to check specific attraction websites for details.
