The York hop-on hop-off bus includes 20 stops at key attractions. An audio guide in English is provided, detailing points of interest. The complete journey without stops lasts approximately one hour.

Notable stops include Clifford’s Tower, Gillygate, South Bank, and Museum Gardens.

How does it work?

Your ticket is valid for 24 consecutive hours from activation. For instance, if activated on Monday at 3 pm, it remains valid until Tuesday at 3 pm. During this period, you can access the bus as often as you wish to discover attractions such as the remains of York Castle at Clifford Tower, York Cathedral (York Minster), Museum Gardens, and the Jorvik Viking Centre.

Important

When booking, specify the start date. You have a window of 12 months from that date to use the ticket. Upon reservation, an email containing your voucher will be sent, which must be presented on your first bus ride.

Timetable & frequency

The York sightseeing bus operates every 30 minutes daily from 9 am to 5:30 pm, with services from 10 am to 2:30 pm during November and December. The total duration without stops is one hour, and the last three buses of the day terminate at Clifford Tower.
