Yorkshire Dales National Park Day Trip

On this excursion through Yorkshire Dales National Park, we'll explore landscapes that inspired renowned English writers.

Description

At the scheduled time, we will meet at Duncombe Place in York and board our minibus for the journey to Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The first stop will be the village of Masham, where we will stroll through its historic streets and see the Anglo-Saxon cross, dating back over 1300 years.

We will continue enjoying the lush green meadows before arriving at Grassington, known as the fictional village of Darrowby from the English series 'All Creatures Great and Small'. You will have one hour of free time in Grassington to explore or dine at a local café. Afterward, we will visit the nearby Linton Falls.

Next, we will return to the minibus and travel along the River Wharfe, passing through the village of Burnsall and visiting the historic ruins of Barden Tower.

From there, we will make our way to Bolton Abbey, a 12th-century abbey with the ruins of the Augustinian Priory of Bolton. You will learn about its history during the stroll.

Finally, we will return to the meeting point, concluding our trip after 8 hours together.
