Camel Ride and Night in the Desert

Description

Day 1

Upon our arrival in Zagora, the adventure commences with a camel trek through the desert. This excursion offers a chance to appreciate the expansive, arid terrain typical of this North African region, while also gaining insights into the lifestyle of the nomadic Amazigh communities who have thrived here for generations.

Your camel expedition concludes at the haima camp, your accommodation for the night. Here, you'll be served a delightful mint tea while witnessing the sunset gradually transform the desert into shades of vibrant orange and deep scarlet.

As night falls, we will enjoy a flavorsome traditional dinner at the camp. The night sky will be ablaze with countless twinkling stars, casting a gentle light on the nearby dunes. The clarity of the night sky, untouched by city lights, will leave a lasting impression. Our night will also feature captivating drumming rhythms to enhance the experience.

Afterward, you can unwind in your haima, enchanted by the allure of a desert evening.

Day 2

Awake to the breathtaking sight of the sunrise illuminating the desert. As dawn breaks, the dunes and surrounding landscapes undergo a magical transformation from vibrant crimson to warm orange with hints of ochre and brown. It’s truly a magnificent display!

Following a nourishing breakfast at our camp, we will mount our camels once more to begin our return journey to Zagora, arriving between 8 am and 9 am.

Camps

Your overnight experience in the Zagora desert will be at a specialized camp. Please be aware that water is not included in the camp provisions and is priced between 1EUR and 2EUR for a 1.5-liter bottle.

During booking, you can select from two types of accommodations:

The standard camp accommodates a maximum of 5 guests, with communal restroom and shower facilities.

The superior camp is designed for up to 4 guests and features private bathrooms.

Regardless of your choice, each couple is guaranteed their own tent to ensure privacy.

The standard and superior camps are distinct and provide different experiences.

Important

Children aged 5-11 are required to ride with an adult companion on the same camel.
