Our guided tour of Zagreb begins in Ban Jela?i? Square, the heart of Croatia's capital, highlighting its role during the end of the 20th century conflicts that led to the disintegration of former Yugoslavia.
The first stop will be the 13th-century Stone Gate, the entrance to Zagreb Old Town, where we will also find the city's oldest pharmacy, the Black Eagle.
Next, we'll visit Gornji Grad to see the shields on St. Mark's Church and the nearby Lotrš?ak Tower, where the Gri? cannon is fired at noon.
We will enter the tunnels built by fascists during World War II and then visit Bloody Bridge to learn about Zagreb's turbulent history.
Next, we will explore Dolac Market, where we will learn about local daily customs. Opposite the market is Zagreb Cathedral, the tallest building in Croatia, featuring a unique aspect to be revealed during the tour.
The tour concludes back at Ban Jela?i? Square, lasting a total of 2 hours.
