Walking Tour of Stone Town & Boat Ride to Prison Island

You'll be picked up from your hotel in Zanzibar at the scheduled time, proceeding to Stone Town, the historic center of the island's capital, for a guided walking tour.

The tour includes visits to significant sights, such as the House of Wonders, now the Museum of History and Culture of Zanzibar and the Swahili Coast, the Palace Museum, the Old Fort, and the Anglican Cathedral, where we will stop to view the monument to the slaves.

Following the walking tour, we will head to the port for a 20-minute boat ride to Prison Island. This island, once a prison for rebellious slaves and later a quarantine station for yellow fever, is now a tourist destination with a collection of endangered giant tortoises.

The tour concludes with a return to Stone Town, after a total of 6 hours, providing hotel drop-off.
