On this guided tour of Stone Town, you'll visit the most iconic places in the capital of Zanzibar, such as the Old Fort, Sultan's Palace and Christ Church.

Stone Town Private Tour

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Zanzibar at the selected time. From there we'll walk to the centre to see significant monuments.

The first stop will be the Old Fort, built by the Omanis in 1689. Next, we'll visit the House of Wonders, known for its wooden doors and as the first building on the island with electricity.

Next, we’ll head to the Sultan's Palace, now a museum showcasing the royal family's history, and the Hamamni Persian Baths, reflecting the empire's legacy.

We'll explore the Darajani market to learn about the city's history. The tour will conclude at the house where Freddy Mercury was born before stopping outside the Christ Church, an important monument from the 1860s that commemorates the region's slaves. We'll share insights into this historic site.

The guided tour will last three hours, after which we will take you back to your hotel.
