Embark on an unforgettable adventure through the stunning forests and lakes nestled within the Swiss Alps aboard The Gornergrat!

Description

Your journey commences at the Zermatt Railway Station. Start by visiting a ticket office or machine to exchange your voucher and prepare for breathtaking vistas of the Swiss Alps!

As the train ascends to 3,100 meters (10,170 feet), it glides over bridges, winds through tunnels, crosses sparkling lakes, and traverses stunning forests. Approaching the summit, the iconic silhouette of the Matterhorn, recognized worldwide for its pyramid shape, comes into view.

Along the way, observe the magnificent Gorner Glacier, Mount Liskamm, the dual peaks of Castor and Pollux, as well as the impressive Monte Rosa massif, which is the highest summit in Switzerland. An experience not to be missed!

Upon reaching the peak of The Gornergrat, you are free to explore the area at your own pace. Capture beautiful photographs, engage in hiking, or relax at the viewpoint terrace of the Gornergrat Hotel.

As the train ticket does not specify a fixed return time, you can choose to return to Zermatt whenever you prefer during the same day. Just make sure to check the train's schedule.
