Rancho Nuevo & El Arcotete Tour

At your chosen time, pickup will be from your hotel in San Cristobal de las Casas for a tour of Rancho Nuevo Ecopark and El Arcotete. In 20 minutes, we will arrive at the Rancho Nuevo Ecotourism Park, featuring conifer-lined trails. The park includes magnificent caves discovered in 1547, with a gallery extending over 10 kilometres underground and filled with stalactites and stalagmites. A 750-metre walkway allows exploration while learning about the rock formations.

Following the cave tour, there will be 40 minutes of free time to explore the area at your leisure. We will then proceed to El Arcotete Ecotourism Park, characterized by abundant pines, cypresses, and oaks.

At El Arcotete, we will observe the renowned 50-metre-high limestone arch over the Fogótico River, a natural wonder. The impressive caves above the arch are also visible, showcasing their unique shapes.

At the conclusion of this four-hour tour, we will return to your hotel in San Cristobal de las Casas.
