Bern Day Trip

On our Bern Day Trip from Zürich, we will visit the historic centre of the Swiss capital, a World Heritage Site, and learn about Emmental cheese.

At 8:30 am, we depart from the Sihlquai bus station parking lot in Zürich and head to the Entlebuch Valley, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Upon arrival, you will receive a bag to fill with Swiss products throughout the day.

We will cross the Emmental Valley and visit the Kambly Experience, a biscuit factory where we will learn how these items are made and enjoy a tasting. Next, we will proceed to Bern.

In Bern, we will take a walking tour of the historic centre. Key monuments include the Berner Münster Cathedral, the Swiss Parliament, and the Zytglogge, known for its large astronomical clock.

You will have approximately 1 hour of free time for lunch and shopping. In the afternoon, we will visit a typical Bernese farmhouse, view local Swiss cows, and tour an Emmental cheese dairy. An interactive tour called 'King's Way' will follow before we briefly stop for photos of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau alpine mountains.

At the end of the trip, we will return to Zürich, arriving at approximately 7 pm.
