Grindelwald & Mount First Day Trip

Day Trip Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Sihlquai bus station parking lot. We'll drive to the Canton of Bern. Our first stop will be Interlaken for a short photo opportunity, and then proceed to Grindelwald.

Upon arrival, you'll receive your train tickets to return to Interlaken in the afternoon and cable car tickets for Mount First. You'll have 3 hours of free time at this 2100-metre-high (6,889 ft) peak.

Your cable car ticket provides access to the First View observation deck and the Cliff Walk by Tissot suspension bridge. You'll enjoy stunning views from this 40-metre-long (131 ft) walkway.

You can purchase drinks and partake in activities at the summit. Make sure to return via cable car to Grindelwald in time to explore the village before taking your train back to Interlaken, where the bus will return you to Zurich, concluding the 12-hour tour.

First Flyer Zipline

This 800-metre high (2,624 ft) zip line offers speeds up to 84 kilometres per hour (52 mph). Available until October 27, 2025.

First Glider Zipline

A zipline shaped like an eagle with a maximum capacity of 4 people. Available until October 27, 2025.

First Mountain Cart

A pedal-powered vehicle for a 3-kilometre (1.8 miles) ride from Mount First to Bort station. Available from May 1, 2025, until October 27, 2025.

Trottibike Scooter

An environmentally friendly vehicle to travel from Mount First to Grindelwald station. Available from May 1, 2025, until October 27, 2025.

Guide Info

This tour is partially guided. The guide will accompany you from Zurich to Grindelwald and on the road from Interlaken to Zurich. You will self-guide during your free time in Grindelwald and the train ride to Interlaken.

Itinerary Changes

The tour may be conducted in reverse order, visiting Lauterbrunnen first, followed by Grindelwald and Interlaken in the afternoon. Important: starting April 1, 2026, the guide will accompany the entire trip, with a tour of Lauterbrunnen replacing the train journey.
