Grindelwald & Mount First Day Trip

Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Sihlquai bus station parking lot. We will drive to the Canton of Bern, located in inland Switzerland.

Our first stop will be in Interlaken, situated between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. After a photo stop, we will continue to Grindelwald, a village in the Bernese Alps.

Upon arrival, we will provide your train tickets for your afternoon return to Interlaken and cable car tickets to Mount First. At a height of 2100 metres (6,889 ft), you will have 3 hours of free time at the peak.

Your cable car ticket includes access to the First View observation deck and the Cliff Walk by Tissot suspension bridge, a 40-metre-long (131 ft) walkway with views of the Alpine peaks.

At Mount First, you can purchase drinks and participate in activities. Take the cable car back to Grindelwald timely for exploration before taking your scheduled train to Interlaken, where a bus will return you to Zurich, concluding this 12-hour tour.

Your ticket provides access to the Cliff Walk by Tissot suspension bridge and the First View observation deck. Additional activities available at Mount First include:

First Flyer Zipline

This 800-metre high (2,624 ft) zip line runs from Mount First to Schreckfeld station at speeds up to 84 kilometres per hour (52 mph).

This experience features a zipline shaped like an eagle with a maximum capacity of 4 people.

First Mountain Cart

A pedal-powered vehicle for traveling the 3 kilometres (1.8 miles) from Mount First to Bort station.

Trottibike Scooter

An environmentally friendly vehicle for travel from Mount First to Grindelwald station.

Availability: from 1st May, 2025, to 27th October, 2025.

Guide

This tour is partially guided. A guide will accompany you on the bus from Zurich to Grindelwald and from Interlaken to Zurich.

During your free time in Grindelwald and Mount First and the train journey from Grindelwald to Interlaken, a guide will not be present, but information will be provided for independent exploration.
