Discover the fascinating alpine landscapes of central Switzerland with this trip to Lucerne and Engelberg from Zurich, one of the most beautiful parts of Switzerland!
Day Trip Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Sihlquai bus station parking lot in Zurich and drive through the alpine landscapes of central Switzerland.
We will take a scenic route, where the bus guide will share anecdotes and facts about the area. Once we arrive in Lucerne, situated on the banks of Lake Lucerne, you will have approximately 1 hour of free time, depending on traffic conditions.
We recommend a stroll through the historic center of Lucerne, including the Jesuit church and the Chapel Bridge, the oldest wooden footbridge in Europe, alongside the town hall on the other bank of the river.
Next, we continue to Engelberg. In this picturesque town at the foot of Mount Titlis, you will have three hours of free time for lunch and to explore its main attractions, including a large Benedictine monastery, home to Switzerland's largest organ, and its cheese-making machinery.
We will return to the original starting point in Zurich by 7 pm. During the return journey, the bus guide will share more interesting facts about central Switzerland.
