Lucerne & Mount Rigi Day Trip

At the designated time, we'll meet at Sihlquai Bus Station parking lot. We will travel by bus from Zürich to the town of Weggis, enjoying stunning views of Lake Lucerne.

You'll see Mount Rigi, an Alpine massif at 5,900 feet (1,800 meters). You'll have 4 hours of free time and your cable car and rack railway tickets to ascend. The mountain railway began operation in 1871.

From Mount Rigi, enjoy views of Central Switzerland's lakes and dine at various mountain restaurants.

We will descend via another rack railway train to Vitznau, where you will board a boat for a 4-hour ride on Lake Lucerne. Experience panoramic views of the Alpine mountains during the trip.

The boat trip concludes in Lucerne, offering free time to explore its historic center, including the Chapel Bridge from the 14th century.

Afterwards, a bus will return you after a total of 9.5 hours.

Changes to the Itinerary

Itinerary changes may occur due to maintenance or events. The Mount Rigi cable car may be replaced by the cog railway on:
