Lucerne & Stanserhorn Day Trip

History and scenery are the main characters on this day trip to Lucerne, which includes entry to the CabriO cable car to ride the top of the Stanserhorn.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll depart from Sihlquai bus station parking lot towards Lucerne. During the journey, various facts about this picturesque town will be shared.

Upon arrival in Lucerne, you'll have about 2 hours of free time to explore the historic city centre. A visit to the Kapellbrücke, the oldest wooden bridge in Europe from the 14th century, is recommended.

After your free time, we will convene in the city centre and travel by bus to Stans. Upon arrival in this village, you'll receive a train ticket to return to Lucerne later. A ticket for the CabriO, the world's first open-top cable car, will also be provided.

The funicular will take you to the top of the Stanserhorn, reaching 1,898 metres (6,227 feet). At the summit, you will enjoy views of the surrounding mountains and lakes.

In due time, you can take the CabriO cable car from the top of the Stanserhorn to Stans. In Stans, you'll take the train to Lucerne at the time indicated on your ticket, where the bus will await you at the train station to return to Zurich. This 9.5-hour day trip will conclude at the meeting point in Zurich.

This tour is partially guided, as the guide will accompany you only on the bus rides. At the top of the Stanserhorn and during the train journey from Stans to Lucerne, you won't be accompanied by a guide. All necessary information will be provided to ensure you enjoy your visit.
