Rhine Falls Half-Day Trip
At the scheduled time, you'll leave Zurich and head into northern Switzerland's natural landscapes.
After a 40-minute drive through vineyards and villages, your first stop will be at Laufen Castle, a Medieval fortress with views of the Rhine Falls. At 150 metres (490 ft) wide and 23 metres (75 ft) high, the Rheinfall is Europe's biggest waterfall.
You will have around an hour to explore the Rhine Falls and partake in activities available. Information about the falls’ formation will be provided.
After visiting the Rhine Falls, your return journey to Zurich includes a drive through the town of Schaffhausen, where you can view the 16th-century circular castle, Munot Fortress. You will then briefly drive through Germany before returning to Zurich.

If you travel between April and October, and weather permits, an optional boat trip through the Rhine Falls is available. The ticket price is CHF10 for adults, CHF5 for children aged 6 to 15 years, and free for children under 6. Note that the boat is not accessible for baby prams or individuals with reduced mobility.
