At the scheduled time, you'll leave Zurich and head into the landscapes of northern Switzerland.

After a 40 minute drive through vineyards and villages, you'll stop at Laufen Castle, a Medieval fortress with views of the Rhine Falls. At 150 metres (490 ft) wide and 23 metres (75 ft) high, Rhine Falls is Europe's biggest waterfall and a major tourist attraction.

You will have around an hour of free time to explore Rhine Falls and enjoy the activities available. We'll get as close as possible to the falls while discussing their formation.

After your visit, your return journey to Zurich will take you through the town of Schaffhausen, where you can see the circular castle known as Munot Fortress. You'll then drive briefly through Germany before returning to Zurich.

Waterfalls Cruise

In summer, you can take an optional boat trip through the Rhine Falls. Ticket prices are CHF10 for adults, CHF5 for children aged 6 to 15, and free for children under 6. Note that the boat entrance is not accessible for baby prams or people with reduced mobility.

Remember to bring your valid passport on the day of the tour: you will need it to cross the border between Switzerland and Germany.
