Activity Details

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Banff and then head deep into Banff National Park. In about half an hour, we'll reach the spectacular frozen waterfalls of Johnston Canyon.

After a brief presentation on the route, we'll start the hike along the walkways of Johnston Canyon. The journey covers a distance of 5.4 kilometers (3.4 miles) and an altitude of 135 meters (443 feet). You will see frozen waterfalls, lakes, and ravines, and the guide will share insights about the canyon and its fossils.

Throughout the walk, you'll have opportunities to capture winter landscapes on your camera. We'll enjoy a hot chocolate and cookies to reenergize.

Finally, we'll return to the starting point of our tour and board the minibus to return to your hotel in Banff after a 4-hour excursion.
