Assisi Private Tour
The tour starts outside the Basilica of St. Clare and lasts 3 hours, during which we will explore the main monuments and points of interest. We will first visit the Upper Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi and the Lower Basilica of St. Francis, both designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000. For about 1 hour and 30 minutes, we will explore the chapels and the crypt where the remains of St. Francis are located.
The tour will proceed to the Temple of Minerva in Piazza del Comune, where you'll learn about its origins in the Old Roman Empire. We will also visit the Chiesa Nuova, built on the site of St. Francis's family home.
The tour concludes with insights into the history of Assisi and St. Francis's life in the town.
