Bocas de Ceniza Day Trip
At 9 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Barranquilla and set off northbound. After 30 minutes on the road, we'll arrive at the mouth of the Magdalena River (Rio Grande de la Magdalena).
Upon arrival, we'll board a tourist train for a 7.5-mile (12-kilometre) ride through the landscapes of Bocas de Ceniza, where the river meets the Caribbean Sea.
After the train ride, we'll walk to the point where we can see the mouth of the river, allowing us to admire how the waters from the sea and the river meet.
We will also observe the significant infrastructure built in 1936 to channel the waters of the longest riverbed in Colombia.
We'll return to Barranquilla in our bus, dropping you off at your hotel at around 1 pm.
