Usiacurí Excursion

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Barranquilla at 9 am and head towards the south of the department of Atlántico.

After a half-hour drive, we'll stop in the small town of Galapa, where we'll have the opportunity to see how the artisans handcraft Barranquilla's Carnival masks.

Next, we'll continue our excursion to Usiacurí, a town nestled among lush hills. Once there, we'll take a guided tour of its historic center, exploring its colorful streets.

During the tour, we'll learn about the poet Julio Flórez, who came to Usiacurí for its medicinal waters. We will visit the house-museum of the writer, where he died in 1923.

Before leaving, we'll visit the Church of Santo Domingo de Guzmán and the iraca palm handicraft shops, where you'll have the opportunity to buy souvenirs.

We'll conclude the excursion by returning to your hotel in Barranquilla, with drop-off scheduled around 2 pm.
