Private Tour of Cologne
At the time of your choice, we'll meet at Domtreppen, the steps in front of Cologne Cathedral, where our private tour of the German city will begin. We'll start by admiring the impressive Gothic façade of the church, which towers at 157 metres.
A few steps away, we'll reach the Heinzelmännchenbrunnen, where our guide will reveal the legend behind the sculptures of elves in the fountain. We then stop between Rathausplatz and Alter Markt, viewing the Old City Hall built 900 years ago on a Roman praetorium.
We will stroll through the gardens along the Rhine River to the Fish Market, a square of colourful houses. We'll discover the history of the Willi Ostermann Brunnen Fountain and pass by the Wallraf-Richartz and Kolumba museums, the latter integrating the ruins of St Kolumba Church.
This city is known for Eau de Cologne; thus, we will stop at Dufthaus 4711, one of the oldest perfumeries, and see the façade of EL-DE Haus, the former Gestapo headquarters now a museum.
The final stop on our private tour of Cologne will be at the Kölnisches Stadtmuseum, before concluding our two-hour tour at the Römerbrunnen fountain.
