We will meet at Domtreppen, the steps in front of Cologne Cathedral. The tour starts with the impressive Gothic façade of the cathedral, at 157 metres in height. We will visit the Heinzelmännchenbrunnen and learn about the legend of the elves. Next, we will stop at Rathausplatz and Alter Markt to see the Old City Hall, built 900 years ago on a Roman praetorium.

Our route continues along the gardens by the Rhine River to the Fish Market, a square with colourful houses. We will explore the history of the Willi Ostermann Brunnen Fountain and pass by the Wallraf-Richartz and Kolumba museums. The Kolumba museum showcases the ruins of St Kolumba Church.

We will visit one of the oldest perfumeries in Cologne, Dufthaus 4711, established in the 18th century, and see the façade of EL-DE Haus, a former Gestapo headquarters now a museum documenting the Third Reich. The final stop will be the Kölnisches Stadtmuseum, ending our two-hour tour at the Römerbrunnen fountain.
