Journey towards Colonia Caroya, inhabited by the descendants of the many families of Friulian immigrants, who set sail to Buenos Aires in the late 1800´s to colonize the lands of the Caroya Ranch.

The first stop will be 44km north of the City of Córdoba (National Route 9), at the Estancia Jesuítica Casa Caroya, a large colonial grand house, surrounded by tree groves and vines at the foot of the Sierras Chicas mountain range. This once, summer residence of the students of Monserrat college, was declared a World Heritage Site by the Annual Assembly of UNESCO, in 2000.

Continue to Jesús María, famous for its Doma (Horse Training) and Folklore Festivals. Visit the San Isidro Labrador Jesuit Estancia, famous for its wine making. Stop by the historic Posta Sinsacate and Barranca Yaco, where General Juan Facundo Quiroga, Governor and caudillo of La Rioja, was assassinated.

Immerse yourself into the tranquillity of the grounds and nature at the final stop, Santa Catalina Estancia, known for its beautiful baroque church before enjoying the scenic route back to the city as you pass through the picturesque towns of Ascochinga, La Granja, Villa Animi, Agua de Oro, Salsipuedes and Rio Ceballos.
