The best of Mount Srdj, City Walls and Old Town - Shore Excursion

This tour aims to show you the absolute best highlights of the city. The tour lasts for about four hours and it begins with a drive to Srdj mountain.

From above you can see the entire city, along with its two-kilometer-long walls and the islands of Dubrovnik region. Prepare your camera and phones for the best postcard photo of Dubrovnik. Mount Srdj is of historical importance due to the war of independence during 1991. Your guide will give you a detailed explanation of that topic.

Our first stop is Mount Srd, a panoramic drive up to mountain Srdj from where you have the best view in town. You will get an overview of the new and old part of the city and some time to take memorable pictures. During your free time, you may visit the Homeland Museum. After Srdj, we will begin our descent into the heart of the Old Town. See the major attractions of Dubrovnik's old town with our local guide and learn about fascinating history from its earliest days to the fall of Yugoslavia. Walking through the old town we will show you all the filming locations starting from Pile Gate. You’ll discover Dubrovnik was used for another big filming just recently. The walking tour will be a combination of history and Game of Thrones. All highlights from the show and interesting buildings we will see on our way.

The last part of the tour is the fascinating City Walls of the old town. It takes approximately 1.5h to walk along the 2 km long wall. Terracotta roofs and narrow streets are all visible from above, clear vista over the Adriatic Sea reveals just about any boat on the horizon, which gives a perfect explanation to why the city was successfully defended for centuries. Time has come to take you to the Iron Throne, so you can take your photo on it. After the tour, before we take you to the port you will have some free time to explore the old town on your own.
