Loch Ness & the Scottish Highlands: 2 Day Tour Itinerary
On the morning of your tour, pick-up will be from a central location in Edinburgh. The first stop will be Luss, a conservation village on the banks of Loch Lomond. The route continues alongside the loch and through the countryside, with stops at Rannoch Moor and Glencoe, known for the Clan Macdonald Massacre of 1692.
Next, you'll travel to Fort William, located near Ben Nevis. After lunch, the tour will proceed around Loch Ness for views of Urquhart Castle. The day concludes in Inverness, where you will spend the night in a hotel.
On the second day, you can customize your itinerary. Options include Culloden Battlefield, the Neolithic Clava Cairns, or a whisky tasting at Dalwhinnie Distillery.
Post-lunch, the tour will visit Ruthven Barracks and The Hermitage (summer only), before returning to Edinburgh via the Forth Bridge, arriving around 7:30 pm.

Luggage is restricted to one medium suitcase per person.The tour returns to Edinburgh Waverley Station, about a 15-minute walk from the departure point.Optional extras are not included, but attractions can be accessed at discounted rates: Culloden Battlefield is 6.50 GBP; Dalwhinnie Distillery costs 4 GBP for one tasting, 5 GBP for two, and 6 GBP for three (as of April 2019). Note that some attractions may not accept cards, so bring cash for entrance fees.Children under 5 years are not permitted on this tour.
