Discover a breathtaking place in the province of Granada on our Gorafe Desert Jeep Tour. We'll admire incredible views of the canyons and peculiar rock formations of this UNESCO-listed place.
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet on Calle Cenascuras and set off on our jeep tour of the Gorafe Desert. Our tour will take us on a safari through one of the most fascinating places in the Granada Geopark.
The first stop on the tour will be at the Gorafe Megalithic Park, an archaeological site located in the Gor River Valley. We'll observe numerous funerary monuments that date back to the Bronze Age and discuss their history.
We'll hop back into the jeeps and continue exploring the Gorafe Desert, which was once inhabited by saber-toothed tigers and other large mammals from the prehistoric period.
As we travel around the badlands, we'll see deep canyons, ravines, and fairy chimneys. We'll also spot some unusual rock formations that have been shaped over millions of years by the forces of water and wind.
During our jeep tour, we'll pass by viewpoints such as the Olivares Plain, Pinos Hill, or Bandera Hill so you can admire the best views of the area. In addition, we'll visit Los Coloraos. This natural area bears a striking resemblance to the Grand Canyon due to its reddish tones and shapes.
Our tour will come to an end back at the starting point after a total of 5 hours.
