Private tour Santiago de Compostela

  • 2 heures

You will be able to get to know the city of Santiago in a personal and detailed way. From its beginnings, born from the Cathedral and which today welcomes thousands of pilgrims every year, to the typical gastronomy that we will find in the famous food market. Our guides will be happy to show you around the city.

We tell you about the materials that were worked in squares and streets adjacent to the Cathedral, what the Botafumeiro is made of, what it was used for and when we could see it in operation. Do you know what the scallop shell was used for and why it is a symbol of the pilgrimage to Santiago? We will solve it.

We will walk through the beautiful Parque de la Alameda, a place of recreation and enjoyment for the inhabitants of the city in which, of course, we will introduce you to the Dos Marías.

As we head towards the final part of the visit, towards that appetizing Mercado de Abastos, we will see the typical places used by the people of the city to go out for a drink and enjoy "free" tapas (you only pay drink), the places we go to for lunch and dinner, or even places to go out at night.

Once we arrive at Plaza de Cervantes, before saying goodbye, we will gladly answer any questions that may occur to you.

As it is a private visit, we are open to adapting the route and the tour to any need you have, as well as the preferences that you ask us.

So that you can know the usual route in this type of visit, we will leave the Plaza del Obradoiro, then go to the rest of the squares that surround the Cathedral (Inmaculada, Quintana and Praterías) and we will later go towards Rúa do Franco and Rúa da Raiña, the Parque de la Alameda, streets that go unnoticed, the Plaza de la Universidad, the Mercado de Abastos, and we will finish in the Plaza de Cervantes.
