Wadi El Natrun Monasteries and El Alamein Trip

We will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo and travel approximately two hours to the desert region of Wadi El Natrun.

The first stop will be the Monastery of Saint Pishoy, where we will explore the history of the saint who founded the abbey.

Next, we will visit the Monastery of Saint Mary Deipara, known as the Syrian monastery, which is part of the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria. Here, we will view impressive visual artifacts, including frescoes.

We will then proceed to Deir Baramos, referred to as "the monastery of the Romans." During this visit, we will learn about its founders, princes Maximus and Domitius.

From Deir Baramos, we will travel to El Alamein, where the significant World War II battle occurred. We will visit the Military Museum to see tanks and weapons from the conflict and the War Cemetery, the final resting place for soldiers who died in battle.

After a brief break for refreshments, we will return to Cairo and drop you off at your hotel.
