Day Trip Details

At the meeting point in Malaga, we will depart towards one of the province's impressive gorges, the Caminito del Rey. The journey includes crossing the Alcaparaín mountain range, with a 30-minute stop in Ardales for snacks. We'll then hike the Caminito del Rey from the northern access in Ardales. The hike lasts between 2.5 and 3 hours, featuring a footbridge inaugurated by King Alfonso XIII in 1925. Participants will view the Guadalhorce reservoir and descend the notable staircase of the Caminito del Rey.

We will explore the local geology, wildlife, and landscapes along the way. The footbridge, nearly 105 m (344 ft) high above the Gaitanes Gorge, provides panoramic views of the Sierra de Málaga. The trip concludes with a return to the starting point, lasting between 7 and 8 hours.
