We'll meet at 2 pm in Piazza Guglielmo II. Ready to discover the cultural diversity of this town thanks to its Arab and Norman influences?
We'll start by visiting the Norman Cathedral of Monreale, known as the Duomo di Monreale. This building exemplifies the fusion between Arab and Norman art and architecture.
We'll explore the history of the Bible through the Cathedral, stopping to admire the colorful mosaics that decorate its walls. You'll learn about the technique used to create them.
We'll also enter the ancient Benedictine monastery and cloister, situated near the Cathedral. After hearing stories of this medieval structure, we'll proceed to the nearby belvedere that overlooks the valley and the surrounding orange and citrus trees.
After two hours of discovering Monreale, our tour will conclude.
