Lantau Island Tour

Tour Details

We will meet outside the Tung Chung Station and travel by cable car to Lantau Island. The ride offers views of lush surroundings and the Macao Bridge.

Upon arrival, we will climb 268 steps to visit the Giant Buddha, a large bronze statue completed in 1993, located in the village of Ngong Ping. This statue, next to the Po Lin Monastery, represents the connection between man and nature, and is a significant center of Buddhism in Hong Kong.

Next, we will head to Tai O, a fishing village showcasing a traditional lifestyle. Here, we will observe stilt houses and sample local snacks and drinks.

Finally, after 6 hours, the tour will conclude at the Tung Chung metro station, where you may continue exploring Hong Kong or return to your hotel. The guide will provide directions for the quickest route back.
