Covadonga Small Group Day Trip

Day Trip Details

At the designated time, we will pick you up from the indicated meeting point and head east to visit Covadonga. We will travel by minibus in a small group of a maximum of 8 people. First, we will go to Ercina Lake in the Picos de Europa National Park. The smaller vehicle allows us to get closer to the lakes without long walks. We will admire the views from the Entrelagos viewpoint, overlooking the lakes of Covadonga.

Next, we move to the Holy Cave of Covadonga, home to the image of La Santina and the remains of Don Pelayo, the first king of the Asturian monarchy. Afterward, we will visit the Basilica of Santa María la Real, a prime example of neo-Romanesque architecture in Spain. Then, we will have an hour of free time in Cangas de Onis to enjoy local cuisine, followed by visits to the Roman Bridge and the Santa Cruz chapel.

This reduced-group tour will conclude with our return to the meeting point after a total of 8 hours.
