On this tour, you'll learn the secrets of Parmesan cheese and prosciutto, two of Parma's most important food products. The perfect tour for foodies!

Parmesan cheese & Italian ham experience

We'll pick you up at your selected meeting point and start a tour that will awaken your palate as you get to know two of the region's most important gastronomic products: Parma ham and Parmesan cheese.

The latter will be the starting point of this food tour. We'll enter a factory that produces Parmesan cheese, specifically Parmigiano Reggiano. While we listen to the explanations of an expert on this product, we'll explore the different spaces used in the production of this local delicacy.

After learning about the whole process, we'll be offered a tasting of various types of Parmesan cheese accompanied by local wine.

Then, we'll head to a factory of Parma ham, or prosciutto. As we did in the previous factory, we'll enter the salting and refrigeration rooms to discover all the secrets that have made this sweet ham one of the most coveted products in Italy.

Of course, we'll also taste various types of ham accompanied by Malvasia wine, a sweet wine variety.

The tour will conclude with our return to the meeting points in Parma.
