Come and see one of the largest lakes in Colombia on this day trip to La Cocha Lagoon.
Lake Cocha Tour
We'll meet at the Plaza de Nariño at the designated time. From there, we'll leave for the department of Putumayo, arriving at La Cocha Lagoon after approximately a 40-minute journey. This lake is the second-largest in Colombia after Lake Tota.
We'll walk through the area while learning about the glacial origins of the lake and pass through the village of El Puerto, known for its Swiss-inspired wooden houses around the lake.
Next, we will visit a farm where the family will give us a tour of their self-sustainable estate, showcasing their orchards, organic crops, and guinea pig farms. After the tour, we'll enjoy a traditional lunch made from the farm's fresh produce.
After lunch, we'll return to La Cocha Lagoon and board a speedboat for a tour of this water reserve. We will sail to the sanctuary of La Corota Island, where we will disembark to explore its wildlife and learn about local legends.
Finally, we'll return to Pasto and enjoy a farewell snack. The tour will end at the same point of departure after 10 hours.
