Ponferrada Castle is one of the most notable Templar fortresses in León, Spain. This guided tour will take you through the castle's interior and its historical significance.
Ponferrada Castle Guided Tour
Participants will meet at the entrance ramps to the Templar Castle of Ponferrada, next to the Church of San Andrés, at the scheduled time. The tour will explore the castle and its historical significance, particularly the role of the Order of the Knights Templar and its connection to the El Bierzo area.
During the tour, visitors will climb to the top of the defensive towers for panoramic views of Ponferrada and the surrounding mountains. After enjoying the views, the group will visit other areas of the castle, appreciating its vastness.
The guided tour will last an hour and a half, concluding at the foot of the Moclín Tower. Guests are welcome to continue exploring the fortress at their own pace afterward.
