The Roman Villas Museum is a 50-minute drive from Valladolid. The museum consists of three main spaces: the interpretation centre, archaeological sites of the Roman villa of Almenara-Puras, and a recreation of a villa.
The first part provides insights into life during the Roman Empire, including their leisure activities and beliefs, along with various archaeological pieces from local excavations. Next, visitors will explore archaeological sites featuring remains of up to 30 rooms and 400 square metres of preserved mosaics from the 4th century stately home. The concluding area showcases a full-scale reconstruction of a Roman villa, illustrating what the region looked like thousands of years ago.
