Tour Details
We'll start our free tour of Zaragoza at the Goya monument within Plaza de Nuestra Señora del Pilar. We'll appreciate La Lonja, a building with Aragonese Renaissance-style architecture built in the 16th century, and admire the beautiful Ebro River.
Next, we'll visit the Museum of the Roman Forum in Plaza de la Seo, where we'll find Roman remains from Caesaraugusta and one of Zaragoza's two Cathedrals, La Seo, also known as Catedral de San Salvador, along with the Wall of the Parroquieta, a World Heritage Site.
We'll wander through the historic center to discover picturesque corners, such as the Casa del Deán. Our next stop is the Roman Theatre, an architectural marvel. Then we'll head to El Tubo, the city's tapas area, where we will provide recommendations for tasty tapas. We’ll also cross Calle Alfonso I and enter the 19th-century passage of the "Ciclón."
In the Plaza del Pilar, one of Europe's largest pedestrian squares, we'll see the Town Hall, the Fountain of Hispanidad, and the monumental Cathedral-Basilica of Nuestra Señora. We will also see the Church of San Juan de los Panetes, the Roman walls, the monument to Caesar Augustus, and the Central Market. Zaragoza is known as the 'City of the Four Cultures' due to its historical significance. We will conclude our tour in the Plaza de San Felipe and share recommendations for the city.
