Travel in time to discover St Augustine, one of the oldest European and African-American settlements in the United States, in a golf cart!

Description

The tour begins in Plaza de la Constitución, where you'll hop on board a golf cart ready to take you on a historical journey through the city of St. Augustine. For an hour and 15 minutes, you'll be transported to the past, passing through the Olde-style streets and discovering important sites within this settlement. Sites include the Plaza de la Constitución, the Puerto de Matanzas, and the Puente de los Leónes, with the most noteworthy being Castillo de San Marcos, a national park originally built to defend Florida and the Atlantic trade route.

Further north, a mile from the Castillo, is the Misión Nombre de Dios, built in 1565. Continuing another mile is the archeological park of the Fountain of Youth, believed to be the landing site of explorer Ponce de Leon. The tour showcases hotels like the Ponce de León Hotel, Alcazar Hotel, and Casa Mónica, displaying a range of architecture from colonial Spanish to British styles. The tour culminates at the Flagler Memorial Presbyterian church, an architectural blend before returning to the Plaza de la Constitución.
