Explore the universe of knowledge in the City of Arts and Sciences
The City of Arts and Sciences is much more than a set of impressive buildings; it is a dissemination center where science and culture are experienced interactively and entertainingly. Distributed in more than 2 kilometers, this complex houses some of the most innovative spaces in Spain.
Science Museum: Experience science in first person
The Museum of Science Prince Philip is a paradise for the curious of all ages. With more than 42,000 m2 of interactive exhibitions, this museum allows you to discover the secrets of DNA, experiment with electricity and electrostatic, or even travel in time to the era of dinosaurs. In addition to its permanent exhibitions, the museum has conferences, workshops and activities where science comes to life.
If you have always wanted to know how the human body works, how aviation evolved or what secrets the Mediterranean Sea hides, this is the perfect place for you.
Oceanogràfic: A trip to the heart of the ocean
Focus on the largest aquarium in Europe, a space of 110.000 m2 that houses more than 45,000 specimens of 500 marine species. It travels to the eight ecosystems represented in its facilities, from the Mediterranean to the ** Arctic and Antarctic **, passing through the temperate, tropical seas and the impressive delfinary.
Here you can meet face to face with sharks, sea turtles, hypnotic jellyfish, seahorses and exotic species such as the bishop fish or the spider crab. To complete the experience, enjoy an unforgettable meal at the submarine restaurant, where gastronomy merges with panoramic views of marine life.
Hemisfèric: Digital cinema in its maximum expression
Finish your visit with a unique audiovisual experience in the Hemisfèric, an architectural jewel designed by Santiago Calatrava that simulates a giant eye. In its projection room, equipped with a concave screen of 900 m2, you can enjoy IMAX films, 3D projections and enveloping documentaries that will transport you to other worlds, from space to the bottom of the ocean.
This space, with capacity for more than 300 people, also hosts state-of-the-art conferences, events and audiovisual shows.
