Cooking Class with Chef Ai - Half- Day Tour

Today’s tour begins at 9 Am meeting at Chef Ai‘s House for the start of an exciting Hanoi cooking class. Meet with Ms. Ai, who is passionate about Vietnamese cuisine, with about 15- years of experience, and is in the top 5 of Master Chef Vietnam 2014.

Together, head to the neighborhood’s wet market, walking distance from her house. See the variety of goods on offer, learn from the chef about their uses in traditional cuisine, and purchase items for the day’s cooking class. As well the marketplace is a fabulous place to observe local ways of life and learn about how Hanoi’s residents shop for fresh produce.

Armed with the necessary ingredients, return to Chef Ai‘s family home. Once in the kitchen, the chef will share the secrets behind North Vietnam’s most popular foods. Using Chef Ai‘s recipes, slice, dice, and cook delicious dishes.

Once ready, sit down and feast on the home-cooked meal bringing the culinary adventure to a close.

Schedule of the cooking class:

9.00 am: Meet at Chef Ai's House and go to Vinh Phuc Local Market

10 am – 10.15 am: Go to Ms. Ai’s house for Welcome tea then Chef will explain the menu

10.30 am – 12.30 pm: Join to cook 3 dishes: 1 starter, 1 main, 1 dessert

12.30 pm – 13.30pm: Have lunch and drink tea

-Pomelo salad with shrimp

-Hanoi Royal grilled fish

-Egg coffee

Menu 2: No seafood

-Beef salad countryside style

-Hanoi fried spring rolled

-Jack fruit deep-fried with coconuts milk

Menu 3: Vegan

-Mango salad with mango dressing

-Mushroom carries with rice

-Deep-fried Banana cover sticky rice with coconuts milk
