Embark on a historical walk through the streets and monuments of Santiago de Chile with this tour of the Pinochet dictatorship.

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Santiago de Chile in the morning. From there, we'll head to our first stop: the General Cemetery. This place is a kind of open-air museum, built almost two centuries ago, where we will go through Chilean history through the names of illustrious people who are buried in it. In the General Cemetery we will visit several places of very important historical relevance, such as Patio 29, where thousands of bodies were clandestinely buried during the dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet, the Memorial to the Detained and Disappeared or the tomb of Salvador Allende, who was president of Chile until his death during the coup d'état of 1973.

Later, we'll go to the Museum of Memory and Human Rights, a space built to show the horrors committed during the Chilean military dictatorship between 1973 and 1990. Our guide will help us better understand the historical context of the time and reflect on what happened under Augusto Pinochet.

Finally, we'll go to the Villa Grimaldi, where the Terranova Barracks was installed at the end of 1973. Within its walls operated the Chilean secret police, better known as DINA, and the Metropolitan Intelligence Brigade, in charge of the repression of the Chilean population during the military regime.

We'll finish our historical tour of Pinochet's dictatorship by accompanying you back to your hotel.
