Teide Stargazing Tour from South Tenerife

Starting between 2:15 and 4:30 pm, our journey begins with a pick-up from your selected meeting point, as we depart from South Tenerife towards the Teide National Park. Get ready to experience Spain's tallest peak!

As we travel by minibus to the Teide Observatory, an extensive astronomical complex featuring multiple laboratories and various solar and nocturnal telescopes, we will embark on a guided tour. Here, you'll gain insights into significant discoveries that originated from this site.

During our visit to the Teide Observatory, we will uncover why Tenerife stands out as a prime location for astronomical observation. A hint is that the island's high elevation coupled with minimal light and air pollution plays a crucial role in this phenomenon.

From the observatory, we will witness a stunning sunset, observing the sun as it descends behind the sea of clouds enveloping the Teide, creating a mesmerizing display of twilight colors across the sky.

Afterward, we will return to our vehicle and proceed to the base station of the Teide cable car. Upon arrival, a 30-minute break will allow you to enjoy a picnic meal featuring a sausage and cheese sandwich, a sweet treat, and a bottle of water or a soft drink.

As night falls, we will dive into a stargazing workshop lasting 1 hour and 15 minutes. Participants will locate major constellations in the night sky and have the chance to spot the International Space Station. Additionally, long-range telescopes will be available for a closer examination of various celestial objects.

Our journey will conclude between 10:15 pm and 12:30 am with your return to the original pick-up location.

Tour With or Without Food

If you prefer not to partake in the picnic meal during the tour, you can select the option without food. Should you choose this, please ensure to bring your own snacks.

The tour includes convenient pick-up service from major hotels and key central locations within Costa Adeje, Los Cristianos, Playa Las Americas, and other southern Tenerife areas. We will reach out to confirm the specific pick-up time, which will vary based on your location and the sunset timing on the chosen day.
