At the designated time, we'll meet at the Piazza Duomo. Here, we'll begin a guided tour of Altamura that will allow us to explore this town in depth in the Murge plateau.

Firstly, we'll observe the facade of Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta, built in the Romanesque-Gothic style, along with its two bell towers. We'll then walk towards Pontrelli Quarry, known as Dinosaur Quarry, where the footprints of over 200 species were found.

We'll continue our journey by reaching the historical centre, visiting the house of musician Saverio Mercadante and the San Nicola dei Greci Church, which dominates the city's main street. We will discuss the history of Altamura, inhabited since ancient times, and view the remains of Ciccillo, who lived over 150,000 years ago.

To conclude the tour, we'll visit a typical bakery to taste authentic Altamura bread, renowned worldwide. Its unique flavour will be a delight.

Finally, after 2 hours, we'll say our goodbyes at the initial starting point.
