2-Day Trip to Colca Canyon

Get to know one of the deepest canyons in the world on this 2-day trip to Colca Canyon. This tour combines nature, culture, and adventure, concluding in Cusco.

Trip Details

Day 1

Pickup will be from your hotel in Arequipa, beginning our journey to Colca Canyon. We will stop for breakfast before reaching Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint approximately 6 hours after pickup, where you might see condors. The trip includes stops at various local villages and observation points, such as Antahuilque and Choquetico viewpoints, and a visit to the village of Maca to learn about local traditions. The final stop before Chivay will be at the hot springs of Chacapi for 30 minutes to relax. Arrival in Chivay will be around noon with accommodation near the main square. Free time will be provided in the afternoon and evening for activities and local cuisine.

Day 2

After breakfast, we will head to the upper part of Colca Canyon, passing through villages including Tuti and Sibayo. There will be a stop at Callalli's castles and a visit to the Condroma Dam at 4737 metres (15541 feet). Other stops include the Yauri Stone Forest and Langui Lake. We will stop for 50 minutes in Sicuani for lunch before traveling for 3 hours to Cusco, passing through Andahuaylillas and Urcos.

This tour includes 1 overnight stay with breakfast at Pandora Hostel (2 stars) or similar.

Trip Schedule

Pickup on the first day is at 2:30 am, with drop-off in Cusco between 4 pm and 4:30 pm on the second day.

Hotel Pickup

Hotel pickup and drop-off are included for those staying in the centre of Arequipa. If your hotel is outside this area, we will contact you to arrange an alternative meeting point.
