If you love history, this day trip to the petroglyphs in Toro Muerto from Arequipa is ideal. Explore one of the largest rock art collections in the Americas and learn about the Prehispanic culture associated with these ancient stones.
Day Trip Details
We will pick you up from your hotel in Arequipa at the designated time. After 3 hours by bus, we will arrive at the village of Corire, where you will have about 1 hour of free time for breakfast.
Following this, we will visit the Toro Muerto petroglyphs for a guided tour lasting between 2 and 3 hours. You will discover the secrets behind the rock engravings depicting human figures, animals, and mysterious symbols that date back to 800 AD.
After the tour, we will visit the Incan suspension bridge of Quiscay, crossing the Majes River. Enjoy scenic views of the mountains and valley, perfect for photography.
You will have 1 hour of free time for lunch before we return to Arequipa, dropping you off at your hotel at the end of this 11-hour trip.
Children Under 6
Children under 6 can travel for free but must remain seated on an adult's lap as they will not have their own seat. A child's ticket must be purchased if a seat is needed.
